TJH Counseling Mission Statement

The mission of the Tolar Junior High School Counseling Program is to create a comprehensive school counseling program that follows the American School Counselor Assoiciation guidelines. The Counselor will partner with all stakeholders including; teachers, administrators, board of trustees, families, and the community to create a safe and moral school environment which best supports the success of all student populations in the areas of social and emotional wellness and academics. The counseling program will develop and implement programs designed to inform and prevent unsafe behaviors, inclulding: drug and alcohol awareness and prevention, bully and suicide prevention as well as digital footprint awareness. The students will  benefit from post-secondary planning innitiatives including college and career setting goals.
